| CVE-2026-15567 | 1 Redhat | 8 Fuse, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els and 5 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in Wildfly. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger OutOfMemoryError as CSIv2Util's GSS token decoder reads an attacker-controlled length field without bounds checking and attempts to allocate a byte array of that size. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15563 | 1 Redhat | 7 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack and 4 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.4 High |
| A flaw was found in EAP's IIOP. The listener's NameService would accept bind operations without authentication, allowing an attacker to hijack JNDI lookups and binding them to a malicious ORB, achieving MITM or DoS on further invocations. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15561 | 1 Redhat | 4 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack and 1 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in EAP's undertow http/1.1 chunked-transfer decoder. missing limits on size and count would allow an attacker to use an unauthenticated connection to drive the JVM to an OutOfMemory error, stopping all deployments on the listener, and achieving Denial of Service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15556 | 1 Redhat | 4 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack and 1 more | 2026-10-20 | 8.1 High |
| A flaw was found in Picketlink's SP signature validation; a SAML response containing zero assertion elements matching the signature check can allow an attacker to forge a SAML response and auth as any principal with any roles on the protected application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-10579 | 1 Redhat | 2 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els | 2026-10-20 | 9.8 Critical |
| A flaw was found in Picketlink Federation SAML; the unsolcited response handler would accept forged assertions with no verification or validation, permitting an unauthed attacker to authenticate as any principal in any role. This could lead to information disclosure, access to restricted operations, or other flaws. | ||||
| CVE-2026-86404 | 1 Redhat | 7 Amq Broker, Build Of Apache Camel For Quarkus, Build Of Apache Camel For Spring Boot and 4 more | 2026-10-20 | 8.8 High |
| EAP's Artemis deserialization configuration permits deserialization by default. ObjectMessage.getObject() uses ObjectInputStreamWithClassLoader, which implements allow-list/block-list filtering via its checkSecurity()/isTrustedType() method. However, by default both allow-list and block-list are empty. When the allow-list is empty (size == 0), isTrustedType() returns true for ALL classes. This means all classes are deserializable by default. | ||||
| CVE-2026-101292 | 1 Redhat | 4 Amq Broker, Amq Broker 7, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform and 1 more | 2026-10-20 | 8.2 High |
| Apache ActiveMQ Artemis before 2.34.0 contains an unsafe reflection vulnerability in FederationStreamConnectMessage.getFederationPolicy(). The method calls Class.forName(clazz).getConstructor().newInstance() where clazz is read directly from the CORE protocol wire buffer without type validation. An authenticated federation peer can send a FEDERATION_DOWNSTREAM_CONNECT packet with a crafted class name, causing the broker to load and instantiate arbitrary classes visible to the Artemis module classloader. Static initializers (<clinit>) and no-argument constructors (<init>()) execute as side effects before the type cast, enabling denial of service via system-property poisoning, out-of-memory conditions via classloading, or broker state manipulation. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58379 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 6 Gimp, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 3 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.3 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's Paint Shop Pro (PSP) file format parser. This heap buffer overflow vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause arbitrary code execution or a denial of service (DoS) by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted PSP image file. The vulnerability occurs because the software incorrectly calculates buffer sizes when processing low bit-depth images, leading to an overwrite of adjacent memory. | ||||
| CVE-2026-1961 | 3 Red Hat, Redhat, Theforeman | 7 Red Hat Satellite 6, Enterprise Linux, Satellite and 4 more | 2026-10-20 | 8 High |
| A flaw was found in Foreman. A remote attacker could exploit a command injection vulnerability in Foreman's WebSocket proxy implementation. This vulnerability arises from the system's use of unsanitized hostname values from compute resource providers when constructing shell commands. By operating a malicious compute resource server, an attacker could achieve remote code execution on the Foreman server when a user accesses VM VNC console functionality. This could lead to the compromise of sensitive credentials and the entire managed infrastructure. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15562 | 1 Redhat | 5 Jboss-remoting, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els and 2 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in EAP's jboss-remoting. A remote unauthenticated attacker who can reach :8080 (or :9990, or :4447) and complete an Upgrade: jboss-remoting handshake can cause OOM errors that degrade requests server-wide, leading to denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15560 | 1 Redhat | 4 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack and 1 more | 2026-10-20 | 8.1 High |
| when EAP runs with -secmgr, the openjdk-orb's JDKBridge honours attacker-supplied CDR codebase URLs during object unmarshalling on :3528, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to load and instantiate arbitrary classes from a remote URL in the server JVM before EJB security interceptors run. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15555 | 1 Redhat | 4 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack and 1 more | 2026-10-20 | 8.8 High |
| A flaw was found in JBoss marshalling. The Infinispan session replication path deserializes replicated session data via the JBoss Marshalling River unmarshaller with no class filtering — enabling RCE via deserialization gadget chains on every cluster node. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15554 | 1 Redhat | 4 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Els, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack and 1 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.4 High |
| the Undertow AJP listener honours forged ssl_cert and is_ssl AJP attributes without requiring any shared-secret authentication. This enables an unauthenticated attacker with direct TCP access to port 8009 to bypass CLIENT-CERT authentication by injecting a forged X.509 certificate via the AJP protocol. | ||||
| CVE-2026-113495 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-20 | 5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in cockpit-machines. Red Hat Subscription Management (RHSM) authentication tokens are passed as command-line arguments to background helper processes during image retrieval operations. A local, unprivileged attacker on a system permitting cross-user process inspection can view these arguments while the process is active. This flaw can lead to information disclosure, potentially allowing unauthorized access to RHSM resources within the token's validity period. | ||||
| CVE-2026-5680 | 2 Redhat, Undertow | 17 Apache Camel Hawtio, Build Of Apache Camel - Hawtio, Build Of Apache Camel For Spring Boot and 14 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in Undertow. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted WebSocket messages with permessage-deflate negotiated. This could lead to excessive memory consumption due to the PerMessageDeflateFunction.largerBuffer() method using exponential doubling, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104795 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2026-10-20 | 8.8 High |
| The insights-runtime-extractor runs as a privileged DaemonSet (`hostPID: true`) that scans container processes for runtime fingerprinting. When scanning a container, the coordinator: 1. **fork()s** a child process 2. **setns()** into the target container's PID and mount namespaces 3. **fchdir()** back to an orphaned FD pointing at the extractor's own root filesystem (where `/crio.sock` is hostPath-mounted) 4. Calls **only `seteuid(target_uid)`** — changing the effective UID but leaving the **real UID and saved-set-UID at 0** and **retaining the permitted capability set** 5. The `check_no_privileged_perms()` guard inspects only the Effective capability set (so it passes), and is **skipped entirely when the target runs as uid 0** 6. The `VersionExecutable` fingerprint invokes `fpr_kind_executable` with `process.command_line[0]` — the target's argv[0], read from `/proc/<pid>/cmdline` and **fully controlled by the workload** 7. `fpr_kind_executable` calls `exec.Command(executable, "--version").Output()` — executing the **workload's own binary** inside the workload's mount namespace while **ruid=0 in the host user namespace** The executed process can call `setuid(0)` to restore full root with `CAP_SYS_ADMIN`, and inherits the orphaned cwd which resolves into the extractor container's filesystem containing the host CRI-O socket. ## Affected Code ### 1. Insufficient privilege drop (Rust — extractor coordinator) **File:** `extractor/src/insights_runtime_extractor.rs` ```rust // Lines 139-146 — seteuid-only drop, guard skipped for root containers join_process_namespaces(process.pid)?; change_dir(current_dir); switch_user(*process.uid)?; if *process.uid != 0 { perms::check_no_privileged_perms() .expect("Must not have privileged permissions to run fingerprints"); } fingerprint::run_fingerprints(&config, out_dir, &process); ``` ```rust // Lines 182-185 — only effective UID changed; ruid/suid stay 0 fn switch_user(uid: u32) -> Result<(), ScannerError> { debug!("... Becoming user: {uid}"); seteuid(uid.into()).map_err(|e| ScannerError::Errno(e)) } ``` ### 2. Execution of untrusted binary (Go — fingerprint) **File:** `fingerprints/pkg/utils/file.go` ```go // Lines 75-80 — executes a path taken verbatim from workload's argv[0] func GetExecutableVersionOutput(executable string) (string, error) { out, err := exec.Command(executable, "--version").Output() if err != nil { return "", err } return string(out), nil } ``` ### 3. Workload-controlled path forwarded (Rust — version_executable) **File:** `version_executable.rs` ```rust // Lines 29-34 — workload-controlled command_line[0] forwarded to fingerprint return Some(vec![ fpr_kind_executable, out_dir.to_string(), String::from(&process.command_line[0]), String::from(&version_executable.runtime_kind_name), ]); ``` ## Attack Pattern **Attacker:** Any tenant able to schedule a pod (unprivileged, any namespace) **Victim:** The node running the insights-runtime-extractor DaemonSet **Trigger:** Automatic — the DaemonSet scans all container processes on the node **Attack sequence:** 1. Attacker creates a pod whose process name matches a configured versioned-executable pattern (`node`, `python`, `python3`, `MainThread`, or contains `java`) 2. The pod's main binary (at the path matching argv[0]) is a malicious executable that calls `setuid(0)` to restore root 3. When the insights operator triggers a scan, the DaemonSet forks, enters the attacker's mount namespace, and executes the attacker's binary with ruid=0 4. The attacker's code regains full root with `CAP_SYS_ADMIN` in the host user namespace 5. The inherited cwd contains the host CRI-O socket → full node compromise | ||||
| CVE-2026-103314 | 1 Redhat | 1 Advanced Cluster Security | 2026-10-20 | 7.4 High |
| A flaw was found in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes (RHACS). The Central SAML authentication ACS endpoint does not retain used SAML assertion or response identifiers to prevent replay. An attacker who obtains a valid, unexpired signed SAML response can submit it multiple times and receive distinct Central authentication tokens for the mapped identity. | ||||
