CVE-2026-106578 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-10-21 5.9 Medium
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-31 and 6.9.13-56, a crafted image can cause an invalid memory free in the MVG decoder and crash the process. This issue is fixed in versions 7.1.2-31 and 6.9.13-56.
CVE-2026-98103 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: igmp: convert struct ip_sf_list to RCU Commit 23d2b94043ca ("igmp: Add ip_mc_list lock in ip_check_mc_rcu") added spin_lock_bh(&im->lock) to ip_check_mc_rcu() to prevent a use-after-free while iterating im->sources during concurrent deletions. However, ip_check_mc_rcu() is called from RCU read-side critical sections in packet receive and route lookup fast paths (e.g. __mkroute_output(), ip_route_input_rcu(), and __udp4_lib_rcv()). When igmpv3_send_cr() or igmpv3_send_report() holds &pmc->lock and calls add_grec() -> igmpv3_newpack() -> ip_route_output_ports(), an XFRM policy matching a multicast destination triggers xfrm_tmpl_resolve_one() -> xfrm4_get_saddr() -> __mkroute_output() -> ip_check_mc_rcu(). This attempts to acquire &im->lock while &pmc->lock is already held on the same CPU, triggering a lockdep recursive locking warning / deadlock. Fix this by converting IPv4 struct ip_sf_list to RCU, mirroring the IPv6 implementation in net/ipv6/mcast.c: 1. Add struct rcu_head to struct ip_sf_list and annotate sf_next, sources, and tomb as __rcu pointers. 2. Use rcu_assign_pointer() and kfree_rcu() for list updates and deletions. 3. Remove spin_lock_bh(&im->lock) from ip_check_mc_rcu() and traverse im->sources locklessly with for_each_psf_rcu(), reading and writing counter fields with READ_ONCE() and WRITE_ONCE(). Note: RCU conversion of /proc/net/mcfilter will be done in a separate patch.
CVE-2026-93083 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_scmi: Unwind TX receiver mailbox setup failure mailbox_chan_setup() can request an additional unidirectional TX receiver channel after successfully acquiring the primary channel. If that second request fails, the function returns immediately and leaves the primary channel allocated. Unwind the primary mailbox channel before returning the error so probe deferral or other setup failures do not leave the channel busy for later probe attempts.
CVE-2026-90265 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: defrag: fix deadlock between defrag and delalloc space reservation While running fsstress with autodefrag and flushoncommit, hit a deadlock due to the fact that defrag reserves delalloc space while it's holding dirty and locked folios, besides the extent range lock. CVE-2026-64377 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: qcom-cpufreq-hw: Fix possible double free qcom_cpufreq.data is allocated with devm_kzalloc() in probe() as an array of per-domain data. qcom_cpufreq_hw_cpu_init() stores a pointer to one element of this array in policy->driver_data. qcom_cpufreq_hw_cpu_exit() currently calls kfree() on policy->driver_data. This is not valid because the memory is devm-managed. For the first domain, this can free the devm-managed allocation while the devres entry is still active, leading to a possible double free when the platform device is later detached. For other domains, the pointer may refer to an element inside the array rather than the allocation base. Remove the kfree(data) call and let devres release qcom_cpufreq.data. This issue was found by a static analysis tool I am developing.
CVE-2026-53000 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nat: use kfree_rcu to release ops Florian Westphal says: "Historically this is not an issue, even for normal base hooks: the data path doesn't use the original nf_hook_ops that are used to register the callbacks. However, in v5.14 I added the ability to dump the active netfilter hooks from userspace. This code will peek back into the nf_hook_ops that are available at the tail of the pointer-array blob used by the datapath. The nat hooks are special, because they are called indirectly from the central nat dispatcher hook. They are currently invisible to the nfnl hook dump subsystem though. But once that changes the nat ops structures have to be deferred too." Update nf_nat_register_fn() to deal with partial exposition of the hooks from error path which can be also an issue for nfnetlink_hook.
CVE-2026-31723 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_subset: Fix net_device lifecycle with device_move The net_device is allocated during function instance creation and registered during the bind phase with the gadget device as its sysfs parent. When the function unbinds, the parent device is destroyed, but the net_device survives, resulting in dangling sysfs symlinks: console:/ # ls -l /sys/class/net/usb0 lrwxrwxrwx ... /sys/class/net/usb0 -> /sys/devices/platform/.../gadget.0/net/usb0 console:/ # ls -l /sys/devices/platform/.../gadget.0/net/usb0 ls: .../gadget.0/net/usb0: No such file or directory Use device_move() to reparent the net_device between the gadget device tree and /sys/devices/virtual across bind and unbind cycles. During the final unbind, calling device_move(NULL) moves the net_device to the virtual device tree before the gadget device is destroyed. On rebinding, device_move() reparents the device back under the new gadget, ensuring proper sysfs topology and power management ordering. To maintain compatibility with legacy composite drivers (e.g., multi.c), the bound flag is used to indicate whether the network device is shared and pre-registered during the legacy driver's bind phase.
CVE-2026-68178 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-20 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: nsm: pin the module while the device is open misc_open() installs a misc driver's file operations with fops_get(), which pins file_operations::owner before replacing the file's f_op. The NSM misc device leaves nsm_dev_fops.owner unset, so opening /dev/nsm does not take a module reference on the nsm driver. If the driver is built as a module, an open file descriptor can therefore survive rmmod of the module that provides its ioctl callbacks. A later ioctl through that descriptor can call into unloaded module text. Set nsm_dev_fops.owner to THIS_MODULE so the misc core holds the module while any /dev/nsm file descriptor is open, matching the lifetime expectation for the installed file operations.
CVE-2026-68236 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-20 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: set new_stream to NULL after release In dm_update_crtc_state(), the skip_modeset path releases new_stream via dc_stream_release() but does not set the pointer to NULL. If a later error (e.g., color management failure) triggers the fail label, the error path calls dc_stream_release() again on the same dangling pointer, causing a double release and potential use-after-free. Fix this by setting new_stream to NULL after the initial release. (cherry picked from commit 99f3af19073b3ddbfd96e789124cce12c4277b28)
CVE-2026-112893 1 Python-pillow 1 Pillow 2026-10-19 7.5 High
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 10.0.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow can free an invalid glyph pointer during FreeType rendering with an active stroker. If FT_Load_Glyph fails, cleanup may call FT_Done_Glyph on an uninitialized or stale glyph variable. An attacker can supply a malformed font as untrusted bytes to an application that draws text with a nonzero stroke width, forcing the glyph-load failure path. This can corrupt memory or crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-68116 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.9 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: mdb: Fix source list corruption on a failed replace When replacing the source list of an MDB remote entry, all existing sources are first marked for deletion and vxlan_mdb_remote_srcs_add() is then called to add the new source list. Sources present in the new list have their deletion mark cleared, and any sources left marked afterwards are removed. If vxlan_mdb_remote_srcs_add() fails partway through, its error path deletes all entries on the remote's source list. That rollback is only correct for its other caller, vxlan_mdb_remote_add(), where the remote was just allocated and the list contains solely entries added during the call. On the replace path the list also holds pre-existing sources, so a failed replace tears them down together with their (S, G) forwarding entries instead of leaving the entry unchanged. This is reachable from an existing (*, G) remote. An EXCLUDE filter that loses sources starts forwarding traffic that should be blocked, while an INCLUDE filter that loses sources drops traffic that should be forwarded. Mark entries created during the current pass with a new VXLAN_SGRP_F_NEW flag. On failure, delete only those entries and clear the deletion mark on the pre-existing ones, so a failed replace leaves the source list untouched. Retain the flag until the whole operation succeeds and then clear it. Also stop vxlan_mdb_remote_src_add() from deleting a pre-existing entry it only looked up when adding that entry's forwarding entry fails.
CVE-2026-63809 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: use kvfree() for replaced sysctl write buffer proc_sys_call_handler() allocates its temporary sysctl buffer with kvzalloc() and passes it to __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_sysctl(). Since kvzalloc() may fall back to vmalloc() for large allocations, freeing that buffer with kfree() is wrong and can corrupt memory. Use kvfree() to safely handle both kmalloc and kvzalloc()/vmalloc allocations. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc5. Reproduced the bug based on v7.1-rc4 in a QEMU x86_64 guest booted with KASAN and CONFIG_FAILSLAB enabled. To exercise the replacement path, the test tree also included the accompanying fix for the stale ret == 1 check in __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_sysctl(). The reproducer confines failslab injections to the proc_sys_call_handler() range, uses stacktrace-depth=32, and injects fail-nth=1 while writing 8191 bytes to /proc/sys/kernel/domainname from a task in the target cgroup. Under that setup, fail-nth=1 triggered the fault: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffeb0200024d48 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 SMP KASAN NOPTI CPU: 2 UID: 0 PID: 209 Comm: repro_proc_sys_ Not tainted 7.1.0-rc4-00686-g97625979a5d4 PREEMPT(lazy) Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS 1.15.0-1 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:kfree+0x6e/0x510 ... CVE-2026-53215 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mvpp2: refill RX buffers before XDP or skb use The RX error path returns the current descriptor buffer to the hardware BM pool. That is only valid while the driver still owns the buffer. mvpp2_rx_refill() can fail after the current buffer has been handed to XDP or attached to an skb. In those cases mvpp2_run_xdp() may have recycled, redirected, or queued the page for XDP_TX, and an skb free also retires the data buffer. Returning such a buffer to BM lets hardware DMA into memory that is no longer owned by the RX ring. Refill the BM pool before handing the current buffer to XDP or to the skb. If the allocation fails there, drop the packet and return the still-owned current buffer to BM, preserving the pool depth. Once the refill succeeds, later local drops retire/free the current buffer instead of returning it to BM.
CVE-2026-52993 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix double-free in tipc_buf_append() tipc_msg_validate() can potentially reallocate the skb it is validating, freeing the old one. In tipc_buf_append(), it was being called with a pointer to a local variable which was a copy of the caller's skb pointer. If the skb was reallocated and validation subsequently failed, the error handling path would free the original skb pointer, which had already been freed, leading to double-free. Fix this by checking if head now points to a newly allocated reassembled skb. If it does, reassign *headbuf for later freeing operations.
CVE-2026-45959 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ccp - Fix a crash due to incorrect cleanup usage of kfree Annotating a local pointer variable, which will be assigned with the kmalloc-family functions, with the `__cleanup(kfree)` attribute will make the address of the local variable, rather than the address returned by kmalloc, passed to kfree directly and lead to a crash due to invalid deallocation of stack address. According to other places in the repo, the correct usage should be `__free(kfree)`. The code coincidentally compiled because the parameter type `void *` of kfree is compatible with the desired type `struct { ... } **`.
CVE-2026-23133 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath10k: fix dma_free_coherent() pointer dma_alloc_coherent() allocates a DMA mapped buffer and stores the addresses in XXX_unaligned fields. Those should be reused when freeing the buffer rather than the aligned addresses.
CVE-2026-98558 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: flush skb_defer_nodes in dev_cpu_dead() When a CPU goes offline, dev_cpu_dead() drains its softnet queues (completion_queue, output_queue, poll_list, process_queue, and input_pkt_queue), but leaves net_hotdata.skb_defer_nodes untouched. If oldcpu goes offline while holding pending skbs in its skb_defer_nodes lists (e.g. below the sysctl_skb_defer_max >> 1 IPI threshold, or if the IPI races with CPU teardown), those skbs remain stranded until oldcpu is brought back online. If any of these skbs hold page_pool fragments, page_pool_destroy() will stall indefinitely waiting for inflight pages to be returned when a netdev or driver is torn down while oldcpu is offline. Additionally, if smp_call_function_single_async() fails in kick_defer_list_purge() because the target CPU went offline, reset defer_ipi_scheduled to 0 so future IPI kicks are not blocked when the CPU comes back online. Also, if oldcpu was the last online CPU on its NUMA node, drain that node's slot across all CPUs so no skbs deferred from that node remain stranded on idle remote CPUs (or if the node itself is subsequently offlined). Finally, in skb_attempt_defer_free(), re-check cpu_online(cpu) and whether the caller migrated CPUs after llist_add(), flushing the node list if so, to close the preemption TOCTOU race against CPU/node teardown.
