| CVE-2017-6472 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.4 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.10, there is an RTMPT dissector infinite loop, triggered by packet injection or a malformed capture file. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-rtmpt.c by properly incrementing a certain sequence value. | ||||

| In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.4 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.10, there is a NetScaler file parser infinite loop, triggered by a malformed capture file. This was addressed in wiretap/netscaler.c by validating record sizes. | ||||
| CVE-2017-11171 | 1 Gnome | 1 Gnome-session | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Bad reference counting in the context of accept_ice_connection() in gsm-xsmp-server.c in old versions of gnome-session up until version 2.29.92 allows a local attacker to establish ICE connections to gnome-session with invalid authentication data (an invalid magic cookie). Each failed authentication attempt will leak a file descriptor in gnome-session. When the maximum number of file descriptors is exhausted in the gnome-session process, it will enter an infinite loop trying to communicate without success, consuming 100% of the CPU. The graphical session associated with the gnome-session process will stop working correctly, because communication with gnome-session is no longer possible. | ||||
| CVE-2017-6505 | 1 Qemu | 1 Qemu | 2025-04-20 | 6.5 Medium |
| The ohci_service_ed_list function in hw/usb/hcd-ohci.c in QEMU (aka Quick Emulator) before 2.9.0 allows local guest OS users to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via vectors involving the number of link endpoint list descriptors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2017-9330. | ||||
| CVE-2016-6817 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| The HTTP/2 header parser in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M11 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.6 entered an infinite loop if a header was received that was larger than the available buffer. This made a denial of service attack possible. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7542 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The ip6_find_1stfragopt function in net/ipv6/output_core.c in the Linux kernel through 4.12.3 allows local users to cause a denial of service (integer overflow and infinite loop) by leveraging the ability to open a raw socket. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9345 | 1 Wireshark | 1 Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.6 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.12, the DNS dissector could go into an infinite loop. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-dns.c by trying to detect self-referencing pointers. | ||||
| CVE-2016-5042 | 1 Libdwarf Project | 1 Libdwarf | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| The dwarf_get_aranges_list function in libdwarf before 20160923 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop and crash) via a crafted DWARF section. | ||||
| CVE-2016-4970 | 3 Apache, Netty, Redhat | 6 Cassandra, Netty, Jboss Amq and 3 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| handler/ssl/OpenSslEngine.java in Netty 4.0.x before 4.0.37.Final and 4.1.x before 4.1.1.Final allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop). | ||||
| CVE-2017-9346 | 1 Wireshark | 1 Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.6 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.12, the SoulSeek dissector could go into an infinite loop. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-slsk.c by making loop bounds more explicit. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9349 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.6 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.12, the DICOM dissector has an infinite loop. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-dcm.c by validating a length value. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9352 | 1 Wireshark | 1 Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.6 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.12, the Bazaar dissector could go into an infinite loop. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-bzr.c by ensuring that backwards parsing cannot occur. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9358 | 2 Asterisk, Sangoma | 2 Certified Asterisk, Asterisk | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A memory exhaustion vulnerability exists in Asterisk Open Source 13.x before 13.15.1 and 14.x before 14.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 13.13 before 13.13-cert4, which can be triggered by sending specially crafted SCCP packets causing an infinite loop and leading to memory exhaustion (by message logging in that loop). | ||||
| CVE-2015-7850 | 3 Debian, Netapp, Ntp | 7 Debian Linux, Clustered Data Ontap, Data Ontap and 4 more | 2025-04-20 | 6.5 Medium |
| ntpd in NTP 4.2.x before 4.2.8p4, and 4.3.x before 4.3.77 allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (infinite loop or crash) by pointing the key file at the log file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9375 | 3 Debian, Qemu, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Qemu, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| QEMU (aka Quick Emulator), when built with USB xHCI controller emulator support, allows local guest OS privileged users to cause a denial of service (infinite recursive call) via vectors involving control transfer descriptors sequencing. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9461 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Samba | 10 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 7 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |

| CVE-2017-14222 | 1 Ffmpeg | 1 Ffmpeg | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In libavformat/mov.c in FFmpeg 3.3.3, a DoS in read_tfra() due to lack of an EOF (End of File) check might cause huge CPU and memory consumption. When a crafted MOV file, which claims a large "item_count" field in the header but does not contain sufficient backing data, is provided, the loop would consume huge CPU and memory resources, since there is no EOF check inside the loop. | ||||
