| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
hwmon: (w83791d) Convert macros to functions to avoid TOCTOU
The macro FAN_FROM_REG evaluates its arguments multiple times. When used
in lockless contexts involving shared driver data, this leads to
Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race conditions, potentially
causing divide-by-zero errors.
Convert the macro to a static function. This guarantees that arguments
are evaluated only once (pass-by-value), preventing the race
conditions.
Additionally, in store_fan_div, move the calculation of the minimum
limit inside the update lock. This ensures that the read-modify-write
sequence operates on consistent data.
Adhere to the principle of minimal changes by only converting macros
that evaluate arguments multiple times and are used in lockless
contexts. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fprobe: Use guard(rcu_sched_notrace) and check rcu_is_watching()
unregister_fprobe() and unregister_fprobe_async() (used by BPF
kprobe-multi) rely on standard RCU grace periods (synchronize_rcu()
and call_rcu()) to wait until in-flight fprobe handlers complete before
freeing the fprobe.
However, if an fprobe handler executes while RCU is not watching (such
as in the idle loop or nohz_full extended quiescent states), standard
RCU does not track preemption-disabled sections. Consequently,
synchronize_rcu() does not wait for those executions, which can lead
to a use-after-free if the fprobe is freed immediately after
unregistration. Ensure handlers exit early when !rcu_is_watching().
Furthermore, fprobe_fgraph_entry() and fprobe_ftrace_entry() previously
used guard(rcu)() and rcu_read_lock(), which invoke lockdep on every
hit under CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING. This adds overhead and can cause lockdep
recursion if probed functions interact with lockdep.
Since rhltable_lookup() and rhl_for_each_entry_rcu() use
rcu_dereference_all_check() (which checks rcu_read_lock_any_held()),
holding preemption disabled via rcu_read_lock_sched_notrace() is fully
valid and sufficient so long as rcu_is_watching() is true.
Define and use guard(rcu_sched_notrace)() across fprobe_ftrace_entry(),
fprobe_fgraph_entry(), and fprobe_return(). This eliminates fast-path
rcu_read_lock() and lockdep overhead while guaranteeing safe grace
period synchronization. |

| Lychee is a free, open-source photo-management tool. Prior to 7.6.0, the POST /api/v2/Photo::fromUrl flow validates a hostname and its resolved addresses in app/Rules/PhotoUrlRule.php but later passes the original hostname through app/Actions/Import/FromUrl.php to app/Image/Files/DownloadedFile.php for a separate fopen connection. An authenticated attacker who controls DNS responses can cause validation to observe a public address and the subsequent fetch to resolve the same hostname to a private or otherwise forbidden address. This DNS rebinding time-of-check to time-of-use mismatch bypasses the intended server-side request forgery protections and can reach services available from the Lychee server, subject to deployment and TLS behavior. This issue is fixed in version 7.6.0. |

| BentoPDF is a privacy-focused PDF toolkit that runs in the browser. In versions through 2.8.6, cloudflare/cors-proxy-worker.js performs a DNS-over-HTTPS safety check in hostnameResolvesToPrivate(), as used by isValidCertificateUrl() and isValidTsaUrl(), separately from the outbound fetch(targetUrl, ...). In deployments where PROXY_SECRET validation is not enabled, a direct client that controls authoritative DNS can forge the Origin header, supply a certificate, OCSP, CRL, or TSA URL that passes the proxy's accepted path checks, return a public address during validation, and return a private or link-local address during the later fetch. The endpoint can return allowed response bodies to the attacker, but exploitation requires precise timing, redirects and IP-literal obfuscation are blocked, and network reachability limits the target. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.7. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nouveau/gem: reserve the bo in the info ioctl around the vma lookup
In the non-uvmm path, there could be a race between the info lookup
finding the vma, and the gem close path closing the vma leading
to a use-after-free.
Spotted with the help of Opus 4.6. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
openvswitch: only skb_tx_error() a packet we are about to drop
queue_userspace_packet() borrows the packet skb -- it only copies it into
a private netlink message (user_skb) and does not own it; on return
do_execute_actions() keeps forwarding it through the flow's remaining
actions. Its error path nevertheless calls skb_tx_error(skb), which via
skb_zcopy_clear() does skb_shinfo(skb)->flags &= ~SKBFL_ALL_ZEROCOPY,
stripping SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG from that live skb (skb_tx_error()'s kerneldoc
says "skb must be freed afterwards").
For a MSG_ZEROCOPY skb carrying page-cache frags, SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG is
what makes esp_input() skb_cow_data() before in-place AEAD; once it is
stripped a later local ESP-in-UDP delivery decrypts in place over pages
the sender does not own -- an unprivileged page-cache write (the
"Fragnesia" primitive).
do_execute_actions() ignores output_userspace()'s return value, so any
action after a failed USERSPACE upcall inherits the stripped skb.
Move the skb_tx_error() to the flow-miss drop path - the "default"
branch of ovs_dp_process_packet()'s switch(error), before kfree_skb().
The call has been here since commit 36d5fe6a0007 ("core, nfqueue,
openvswitch: Orphan frags in skb_zerocopy and handle errors") but was
harmless until esp_input() began relying on SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG to gate
in-place decrypt; only then did stripping it on a still-forwarded skb
become a page-cache write primitive. |
