CVE-2026-98694 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.7 Medium

However, it is already removed from the request_queue and reference count is dropped so when tb_cfg_request_work() triggers again it will access memory that is already released. Fix this so that we first make sure a cancelled request is not handed away from tb_cfg_request_find() or scheduled to run. Then instead of relying on the worker to clean up the request we will do it in tb_cfg_request_cancel() after the work is canceled from running. Make tb_cfg_request_dequeue() release the request only if it was actually removed from the queue.
CVE-2026-98677 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: ad_sigma_delta: fix use-after-free on unbind ad_sd_buffer_postenable() allocates sigma_delta->samples_buf with devm_krealloc() at runtime, so its devres entry sits after all probe-time entries of the driver. devm resources are released in reverse allocation order, which means unbind frees samples_buf before iio_device_unregister() disables the buffers and detaches the trigger pollfunc. The data ready IRQ is still enabled at that point, so ad_sd_trigger_handler() can still run and memcpy() incoming samples into the freed samples_buf. Fix this by preallocating the buffer in devm_ad_sd_setup_buffer_and_trigger(), before the triggered buffer and the IRQ are set up, so it is freed only after iio_device_unregister() has drained the trigger handler via free_irq(). Size it for the worst case of all sequencer slots being active; ad_sd_validate_scan_mask() already caps the number of active channels at num_slots. This issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool.
CVE-2026-98666 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: gyro: adis16136: fix unprotected debugfs reads The serial_number file operations are open coded and never call debugfs_file_get(), which debugfs_create_file_unsafe() requires. debugfs_remove_recursive() therefore does not wait for a read in progress, and unbind frees the iio_dev underneath it. Use debugfs_create_file() instead.
CVE-2026-98664 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: imu: adis16400: fix unprotected debugfs reads adis16400_serial_number_fops is open coded and never calls debugfs_file_get(), so debugfs_remove_recursive() does not wait for a read in progress and unbind frees the iio_dev underneath it. Commit ae1d37a9bb4b ("iio: imu: adis16400: use DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE instead of DEFINE_SIMPLE_ATTRIBUTE") converted product_id and flash_count to DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE, which protects itself, but moved all three files to debugfs_create_file_unsafe(). serial_number prints three registers as "%.4x-%.4x-%.4x" and DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE() formats a single u64, so it cannot be converted without changing what the file returns. adis16475 and adis16550 already use debugfs_create_file() for their open coded files. Use it here too.
CVE-2026-98663 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: imu: adis16480: fix unprotected debugfs reads The firmware_revision and firmware_date file operations are open coded and never call debugfs_file_get(), which debugfs_create_file_unsafe() requires. debugfs_remove_recursive() therefore does not wait for a read in progress, and unbind frees the iio_dev underneath it. Use debugfs_create_file() instead.
CVE-2026-98657 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: proximity: pulsedlight: fix iio_device left registered on PM setup failure pm_runtime_set_active() failing in probe() jumps to error_unreg_buffer, which only calls iio_triggered_buffer_cleanup() -- it does not undo the iio_device_register() that already succeeded a few lines above. probe() then returns the error, the devm-managed indio_dev is freed, but the iio core still has it registered: the sysfs/chardev nodes stay live and point at freed memory. Add an error_unreg_dev label that unregisters the iio device before falling through to the existing buffer cleanup, mirroring the teardown order already used in lidar_remove().
CVE-2026-98656 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: trigger: cancel reenable_work before freeing trigger iio_trigger_notify_done_atomic() defers ->reenable() into trig->reenable_work on the system workqueue, and the worker dereferences the owning trigger through container_of(). Nothing cancels this work before iio_trig_release() frees the trigger, so a worker armed by the last in-flight IRQ can outlive the free and touch freed memory. Cancel it at the top of iio_trig_release(), which every free path reaches through the device core's final put_device(). Found by an in-house static analysis tool.
CVE-2026-74565 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: make nft_object rhltable per table The nft_object rhltable is global, this allows for accessing objects that are being dismangled from lookup path by other existing netns. Given the nft_obj_destroy() releases the object inmediately, this might lead to use-after-free of these objects that are being released. Make the existing rhltable per table to address this issue to deal with with the nft_rcv_nl_event() path too. Update nft_obj_lookup() to take the table as non-const, otherwise, compiler complains when passing the objname_ht to rhltable_lookup().
CVE-2026-74537 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: hold sk properly in iso_conn_ready sk deref in iso_conn_ready must be done either under conn->lock, or holding a refcount, to avoid concurrent close. conn->sk is currently accessed without either: [Task 1] [Task 2] iso_sock_release iso_conn_ready sk = conn->sk lock_sock(sk) conn->sk = NULL lock_sock(sk) release_sock(sk) iso_sock_kill(sk) UAF on sk deref Fix possible UAF by holding sk refcount in iso_conn_ready(). Also recheck after lock_sock that the socket is still valid. Adjust locking so conn->sk is cleared only under lock_sock.
CVE-2026-74529 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: hold conn in hci_connect_pa_sync() callback There is theoretical UAF if the conn is freed while the hci_sync task is running. Hold refcount to avoid that.
CVE-2026-74520 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/iommufd: Fix IOPF group ownership UAF iopf_group_alloc() links each last-page IOPF group into the generic IOPF pending list before invoking the domain fault handler. iommufd_fault_iopf_handler() also queued an accepted group in the IOMMUFD deliver list without removing it from the generic pending list. When detach or HWPT replacement drops the device's IOPF reference count to zero, an IOMMU driver may call iopf_queue_remove_device(). That function responds to and frees groups through the generic pending list without removing the same groups from IOMMUFD's deliver list or response xarray. A later read, response, or cleanup can then access the freed group and cause a UAF. Fix this by dequeuing an accepted group from the generic pending list before IOMMUFD queues it for userspace response. Make iopf_group_response() send a response regardless of pending-list membership, so the dequeued group can still be completed by IOMMUFD.
CVE-2026-74345 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/siw: Fix endpoint/socket association handling Disassociating a socket from an endpoint via siw_socket_disassoc() may release the last reference on that endpoint and free it. Therefore, don't clear the endpoints socket pointer after calling that function, but within. This fixes a: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in siw_cm_work_handler (drivers/infiniband/sw/siw/siw_cm.c:1053 drivers/infiniband/sw/siw/siw_cm.c:1075) which occurred after processing a malformed MPA request during connection establishment, causing the new endpoint to be closed.
CVE-2026-74302 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: Fix UAF in hci_unregister_dev() hci_unregister_dev() does not disable cmd_timer and ncmd_timer before the hci_dev structure is freed. If a timeout fires during device teardown, the callback dereferences freed memory (including the hdev->reset function pointer), leading to a use-after-free. Add disable_delayed_work_sync() calls alongside the existing disable_work_sync() calls to ensure both timers are fully quiesced before teardown proceeds.
CVE-2026-72500 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: Free SRQ toggle page after firmware teardown Free the toggle page only after firmware teardown completes so that an NQ interrupt arriving during bnxt_qplib_destroy_srq() won't write the toggle values to an already-freed page. Move free_page() after bnxt_qplib_destroy_srq().
CVE-2026-72404 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix UAF in cleanup_bearer() due to premature dst_cache_destroy() TIPC UDP media bearer teardown calls dst_cache_destroy() on its replicast caches before calling synchronize_net() to wait for concurrent RCU readers (transmitters) to finish: static void cleanup_bearer(struct work_struct *work) { ... list_for_each_entry_safe(rcast, tmp, &ub->rcast.list, list) { dst_cache_destroy(&rcast->dst_cache); list_del_rcu(&rcast->list); kfree_rcu(rcast, rcu); } ... dst_cache_destroy(&ub->rcast.dst_cache); udp_tunnel_sock_release(ub->sk); synchronize_net(); ... } This is highly buggy because dst_cache_destroy() immediately frees the per-CPU cache memory (free_percpu()) and releases the cached dst entries without any synchronization. If a concurrent transmitter (e.g., tipc_udp_xmit()) is running on another CPU under RCU protection, it can call dst_cache_get() concurrently, leading to: 1. Use-After-Free on the per-CPU cache pointer itself (crash). 2. "rcuref - imbalanced put()" warning if it attempts to release a dst that was concurrently released by dst_cache_destroy(). Furthermore, calling kfree(ub) immediately after synchronize_net() without closing the socket first (or waiting after closing it) leaves a window where a concurrent receiver (tipc_udp_recv()) could start after synchronize_net(), access ub, and suffer a UAF when kfree(ub) runs. To fix this, we must defer dst_cache_destroy() and kfree(ub) until after we have ensured that no more readers can see the bearer/socket and all existing readers have finished: 1. Defer rcast entry destruction (both dst_cache_destroy() and kfree()) to an RCU callback using call_rcu_hurry(). Using call_rcu_hurry() ensures the dst entries are released quickly. 2. Release the bearer socket using udp_tunnel_sock_release() (stops new receive readers). 3. Call synchronize_net() to wait for all outstanding RCU readers (both transmit and receive) to finish. 4. Now that it is safe, call dst_cache_destroy() on the main bearer cache, and free ub. Note: 3) and 4) can be changed later in net-next to also use call_rcu_hurry() and get rid of the synchronize_net() latency.
CVE-2026-98544 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bna: prevent IOC timer rearm during teardown bna: prevent IOC timer rearm during teardown bnad_pci_remove() and the probe disable_ioceth path call timer_delete_sync() for ioc_timer, sem_timer and hb_timer, but not for iocpf_timer. bnad_iocpf_timeout() then takes bnad->bna_lock after free_netdev() has freed the struct bnad. Deleting iocpf_timer last does not fix this. sem_timer and iocpf_timer rearm each other: bnad_iocpf_sem_timeout() can arm iocpf_timer, and bnad_iocpf_timeout() arms sem_timer from bfa_ioc_hw_sem_get() when the semaphore is busy. timer_delete_sync() only waits out its own callback. bnad_ioceth_disable() can time out and leave that callback live. Shut all four IOC timers down with timer_shutdown_sync() on both paths, so a later mod_timer() is ignored. This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research while reviewing kernel code.
CVE-2026-98490 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: conntrack: fix helper UAF due to extensions realloc While calling the helpers, a raw pointer to the extensions area is wired into expectations list: -> nf_ct_helper() -> helper->help() -> nf_ct_expect_related_report() -> nf_ct_expect_insert() -> hlist_add_head_rcu(&exp->lnode, &master_help->expectations) In case the connection is not confirmed yet, more extensions can be added afterwards with *_ext_add() calls reallocating the extension space and leaving the now invalid pointer in the expectations list that is later accessed while removing the expectation. Make sure that helpers are called at the end after all the other extensions are already added. Note that the helper rejection now leaves the mark and labels set, but that's not different from how the NAT was handled before or how the mark and the labels were handled on confirmation failure. And there are no atomicity guarantees provided by the API anyway.
CVE-2026-98443 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix cursor and pointer handling when recovering iunlink buckets LOLLM pointed out a bug in xlog_recover_iunlink_bucket: 1. We don't null out prev_ip after releasing it, which can lead to UAF problems if the inodegc flush call in the loop fails. at which point I noticed even more bugs: 2. If the inodegc flush inside the loop fails, we also leak @ip. 3. We set prev_agino to agino having already advanced agino, which results in inodes with i_prev_unlinked set to itself. 4. If we exit the bottom of the loop with prev_ip set, then prev_ip aliases ip and we also set its i_prev_unlinked to itself. Bugs 3 and 4 introduce loops into the unlinked list, though these loops don't surface because we immediately flush each unlinked inode after loading it. Fix all of these issues.
CVE-2026-98442 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_ct: fix helper UAF due to extensions realloc While calling the helpers, a raw pointer to the extensions area is wired into expectations list: -> nf_ct_helper() -> helper->help() -> nf_ct_expect_related_report() -> nf_ct_expect_insert() -> hlist_add_head_rcu(&exp->lnode, &master_help->expectations) In case the connection is not confirmed yet, more extensions can be added afterwards with *_ext_add() calls reallocating the extension space and leaving the now invalid pointer in the expectations list that is later accessed while removing the expectation.
CVE-2026-98441 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_ct: avoid modifying shared unconfirmed ct entry In a case where skb with an unconfirmed ct entry gets cloned, we may end up processing both again but with different sets of extensions. The series of events: 1. The first clone wants to commit and runs the helpers wiring up the extension pointer into the expectation list. 2. Then it looses the confirmation keeping the entry unconfirmed. 3. Second clone now wants to commit labels or run NAT and adds the new extension for that breaking the pointer in the expectation list causing UAF on the destruction path later. While this is possible to trigger, there should be no practical network pipeline where we need to process both clones without modifications in the same zone. So, let's just reset the entry in case for some reason we got an skb with a shared one. This doesn't affect any known use cases, but avoids any potential problems with sharing and modification of the unconfirmed ct entry. Unlike openvswitch module, act_ct allows for NAT without commit. Changing that would be a uAPI break. So, act_ct needs to reset on NAT regardless of the commit flag to avoid reallocation of the extension space. This, however, doesn't really change the picture for sensible networking cases as there should be no need to run the same packet twice (before and after the clone) through conntrack without packet header or zone changes and without commit. The fixes tag points to the introduction of helpers, since that's the main UAF trigger for the sharing.
