CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: vgic-its: Reject restored DTE with out-of-range num_eventid_bits
Userspace can restore an ITS Device Table Entry whose Size field encodes
more EventID bits than the virtual ITS supports. The live MAPD path
rejects that state, but vgic_its_restore_dte() accepts it and stores the
out-of-range value in dev->num_eventid_bits.
Reject restored DTEs with num_eventid_bits > VITS_TYPER_IDBITS before
allocating the device. This mirrors the MAPD check and prevents the
restored state from reaching vgic_its_restore_itt(), where the unchecked
value can be converted into an oversized scan_its_table() range. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: target: iscsi: Validate CHAP_R length before base64 decode
chap_server_compute_hash() allocates client_digest as
kzalloc(chap->digest_size) and then, for BASE64-encoded responses,
passes chap_r directly to chap_base64_decode() without checking whether
the input length could produce more than digest_size bytes of output.
chap_base64_decode() writes to the destination unconditionally as long
as there is input to consume. With MAX_RESPONSE_LENGTH set to 128 and
the "0b" prefix stripped by extract_param(), up to 127 base64 characters
can reach the decoder. 127 characters decode to 95 bytes. For SHA-256
(digest_size=32) this overflows client_digest by 63 bytes; for MD5
(digest_size=16) the overflow is 79 bytes.
The length check at line 344 fires after the write has already happened.
The HEX branch in the same switch statement already validates the length
up front. Apply the same approach to the BASE64 branch: strip trailing
base64 padding characters, then reject any input whose data length
exceeds DIV_ROUND_UP(digest_size * 4, 3) before calling the decoder.
Stripping trailing '=' before the comparison handles both padded and
unpadded encodings. chap_base64_decode() already returns early on '=',
so the full original string is still passed to the decoder unchanged.
The mutual CHAP path decodes CHAP_C into initiatorchg_binhex, which is
kzalloc(CHAP_CHALLENGE_STR_LEN). extract_param() caps initiatorchg at
CHAP_CHALLENGE_STR_LEN characters, so at most CHAP_CHALLENGE_STR_LEN-1
base64 characters reach the decoder. The maximum decoded size,
DIV_ROUND_UP((CHAP_CHALLENGE_STR_LEN-1) * 3, 4), is less than
CHAP_CHALLENGE_STR_LEN, so no overflow is possible there. A comment is
added at the call site to document this. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/ivpu: Add bounds checks for firmware log indices
Add validation that read and write indices in the firmware log buffer
are within valid bounds (< data_size) before using them. If
out-of-bounds indices are encountered (from firmware), clamp them to
safe values instead of proceeding with invalid offsets.
This prevents potential out-of-bounds buffer access when firmware
supplies invalid log indices. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: ccp - copy IV using skcipher ivsize
AF_ALG rfc3686-ctr-aes-ccp requests pass an 8-byte IV to the driver.
ccp_aes_complete() restores AES_BLOCK_SIZE bytes into the caller's IV
buffer while RFC3686 skciphers expose an 8-byte IV, so the restore
overruns the provided buffer.
Use crypto_skcipher_ivsize() to copy only the algorithm's IV length. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: ccp: Don't attempt to copy PDH cert to userspace if PSP command failed
When retrieving the PDH cert, don't attempt to copy the blobs to userspace
if the firmware command failed. If the failure was due to an invalid
length, i.e. the userspace buffer+length was too small, copying the number
of bytes _firmware_ requires will overflow the kernel-allocated buffer and
leak data to userspace.

rxrpc: Fix buffer overread in rxgk_do_verify_authenticator()
Fix rxgk_do_verify_authenticator() to check the buffer size before checking

| For pull request events, Gitea reads workflow definitions from the pull request head and posts a synthetic skipped status when workflow branch or path filters exclude execution. A fork pull request author can supply a workflow matching a required status context but deliberately prevent it from running. Because skipped statuses count as success, branch protection or organization-required workflow checks can appear satisfied without the mandated workflow executing; no runner or maintainer approval is required for this path. |
| NivoCart through 2.5.1 contains a CAPTCHA bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to defeat form protection because the expected code is printed as plain text in the HTML. Attackers can fetch protected forms, extract the captcha_image value with a pattern match, and submit it to automate spam, registrations, reviews, and account deletion requests. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: validate individual TWT params before driver setup
ieee80211_process_rx_twt_action() only partially validates a received
S1G TWT setup frame before queueing it.
An individual agreement can therefore reach ieee80211_s1g_rx_twt_setup()
with twt->length too short for the full struct ieee80211_twt_params.
The individual path passes twt to drv_add_twt_setup(). Both the tracepoint
and the driver callback consume the complete parameters block, not merely
req_type. Do not pass a short individual agreement to the driver.
Broadcast agreements remain unchanged because they are rejected locally
after accessing only req_type.
[edit commit message to not overclaim lack of validation nor
understate driver impact] |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: validate Adaptation Indication parameter length
The Adaptation Layer Indication parameter contains a fixed 32-bit
Adaptation Code Point after its parameter header. However,
sctp_verify_param() accepts a header-only parameter because the generic
parameter walker only requires the header to be present.
sctp_process_param() then reads adaptation_ind beyond the declared
parameter. When the malformed parameter is last in an INIT, the read
starts at the receive skb tail, and the value is copied into the state
cookie returned in the INIT ACK. This may disclose four receive-buffer
tail bytes.
Require the declared parameter length to match the fixed structure size
and abort the association through the existing invalid parameter length
path otherwise. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
s390/zcrypt: Improve EP11 CPRB domain handling with ASN.1 parsing
The zcrypt_msgtype6_send_ep11_cprb() function uses fragile struct
overlays to access and modify the domain field in the EP11 CPRB
payload, creating maintainability and security concerns:
1. Struct overlay approach (pld_hdr) assumes fixed payload structure
and doesn't validate the actual ASN.1 encoding.
2. Complex length format detection logic is error-prone and doesn't
properly validate bounds at each parsing step.
3. Direct struct member access bypasses proper ASN.1 validation.
Fix by replacing struct overlays with explicit ASN.1 parsing that
validates each field (payload tag/length, function tag/length/value,
optional domain tag/length/value) with proper bounds checking at every
step. Add asn1_int_encode() helper function to safely write integer
values with correct endianness conversion. This makes the code
consistent with the validation pattern introduced with the rework of
the xcrb_msg_to_type6_ep11cprb_msgx() function. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/atm: fix slab-out-of-bounds read in vcc_setsockopt()
vcc_setsockopt() contained an ineffective optlen check:
if (__SO_LEVEL_MATCH(optname, level) && optlen != __SO_SIZE(optname))
return -EINVAL;
If __SO_LEVEL_MATCH(optname, level) evaluated to false (e.g. if the caller
passed a mismatched level), the length check optlen != __SO_SIZE(optname)
was short-circuited and bypassed. Execution then fell through to switch(optname),
calling copy_from_sockptr() assuming optval contained sufficient space.
Furthermore, even if level matched, a cgroup BPF setsockopt filter could shrink
optlen after entry. Because copy_from_sockptr() on kernel pointers uses memcpy(),
this leads to a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds read when optlen is smaller than the
expected structure size.
Fix this by using copy_safe_from_sockptr(), which unconditionally validates
that optlen is at least the expected size before copying. Also change the local
'value' variable type from 'unsigned long' to 'int' so that SO_SETCLP matches
its sizeof(int) ABI encoding on 64-bit systems. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vxlan: use pskb_network_may_pull() for transmit path header pulls
In vxlan_xmit(), arp_reduce(), and vxlan_mdb_entry_skb_get(), pskb_may_pull() was
being called to verify the availability of network layer headers (ARP, IPv6/ND,
IP/IPv6 MDB keys).
However, during transmit skb->data points to the MAC header, so skb_network_offset(skb)
is ETH_HLEN (14 bytes). Using pskb_may_pull(skb, len) only checks len bytes from skb->data
rather than skb_network_offset(skb) + len, which can leave part of the network header
in non-linear frags.
Replace these remaining pskb_may_pull() calls with pskb_network_may_pull() to properly
account for the MAC header offset. |
| Reliance on untrusted inputs in a security decision in Windows PowerShell allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/dma-iommu: Fix wrong scatterlist length assignment in P2PDMA path
In iommu_dma_map_sg(), when handling PCI P2PDMA cases, the DMA length
of the current scatterlist segment `s` is incorrectly assigned from the
head entry `sg->length` instead of the current entry `s->length`.
This typo causes all P2PDMA segments in the scatterlist to inherit the
length of the first segment, leading to corrupted DMA lengths for multi-
segment scatterlists.
Fix this by using `s->length` instead of `sg->length`. |
| Protection Mechanism Failure vulnerability in hexpm hex allows the owner of a package, or an attacker who has taken over the owner's account, to get a newly published release past the release-age cooldown.
The cooldown (cooldown config, HEX_COOLDOWN) withholds versions younger than the configured age during dependency resolution. When the release of a package locked in mix.lock is retired or has a security advisory, Hex.RemoteConverger.build_cooldown_bypass/3 and Hex.RemoteConverger.unsafe_lock_bypass/1 lift the cooldown for every version of that package and of every package the locked release depends on, so that mix deps.update can move off the unsafe release. Retiring a release needs the same package owner permission as publishing one. An attacker who publishes a malicious release can retire the currently locked release, and the next mix deps.update that unlocks the package selects the new release regardless of its age. Hex.Registry.Cooldown.versions/2 checks the bypass by package name alone, so the bypass also covers packages with the same name in other repositories. Cooldown configured through an organization dependency policy is not affected.
This issue affects hex: from 2.5.0 before 2.5.2. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: MGMT: validate Add Extended Advertising Data length
MGMT_OP_ADD_EXT_ADV_DATA is registered as a variable-length command,
with MGMT_ADD_EXT_ADV_DATA_SIZE as the fixed header size. The handler
then uses cp->adv_data_len and cp->scan_rsp_len to validate and copy
cp->data, but it never checks that those bytes are part of the mgmt
command payload.
A short command can therefore make add_ext_adv_data() pass an
out-of-bounds pointer into tlv_data_is_valid(). If the bytes beyond
the command buffer are addressable, they can also be copied into the
advertising instance as scan response data, where the caller can read
them back via MGMT_OP_GET_ADV_INSTANCE. The trigger requires
CAP_NET_ADMIN in the initial user namespace; KASAN reports an 8-byte
slab-out-of-bounds read.
Reject commands whose length does not match the fixed header plus both
advertising data lengths before parsing cp->data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: hsr: fix potential OOB access in supervision frame handling
Ensure the entire TLV header is linearized before access by adding
sizeof(struct hsr_sup_tlv) to the pskb_may_pull() calls. Without this,
a truncated frame could cause an out-of-bounds access. |
