CVE-2026-23389 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: Fix memory leak in ice_set_ringparam() In ice_set_ringparam, tx_rings and xdp_rings are allocated before rx_rings. If the allocation of rx_rings fails, the code jumps to the done label leaking both tx_rings and xdp_rings. Furthermore, if the setup of an individual Rx ring fails during the loop, the code jumps to the free_tx label which releases tx_rings but leaks xdp_rings. Fix this by introducing a free_xdp label and updating the error paths to ensure both xdp_rings and tx_rings are properly freed if rx_rings allocation or setup fails. Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool and code review.
CVE-2026-23378 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_ife: Fix metalist update behavior Whenever an ife action replace changes the metalist, instead of replacing the old data on the metalist, the current ife code is appending the new metadata. Aside from being innapropriate behavior, this may lead to an unbounded addition of metadata to the metalist which might cause an out of bounds error when running the encode op: [ 138.423369][ C1] ================================================================== [ 138.424317][ C1] BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ife_tlv_meta_encode (net/ife/ife.c:168) [ 138.424906][ C1] Write of size 4 at addr ffff8880077f4ffe by task ife_out_out_bou/255 [ 138.425778][ C1] CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 255 Comm: ife_out_out_bou Not tainted 7.0.0-rc1-00169-gfbdfa8da05b6 #624 PREEMPT(full) [ 138.425795][ C1] Hardware name: Bochs Bochs, BIOS Bochs 01/01/2011 [ 138.425800][ C1] Call Trace: [ 138.425804][ C1] <IRQ> [ 138.425808][ C1] dump_stack_lvl (lib/dump_stack.c:122) [ 138.425828][ C1] print_report (mm/kasan/report.c:379 mm/kasan/report.c:482) [ 138.425839][ C1] ? srso_alias_return_thunk (arch/x86/lib/retpoline.S:221) [ 138.425844][ C1] ? __virt_addr_valid (./arch/x86/include/asm/preempt.h:95 (discriminator 1) ./include/linux/rcupdate.h:975 (discriminator 1) ./include/linux/mmzone.h:2207 (discriminator 1) arch/x86/mm/physaddr.c:54 (discriminator 1)) [ 138.425853][ C1] ? ife_tlv_meta_encode (net/ife/ife.c:168) [ 138.425859][ C1] kasan_report (mm/kasan/report.c:221 mm/kasan/report.c:597) [ 138.425868][ C1] ? ife_tlv_meta_encode (net/ife/ife.c:168) [ 138.425878][ C1] kasan_check_range (mm/kasan/generic.c:186 (discriminator 1) mm/kasan/generic.c:200 (discriminator 1)) [ 138.425884][ C1] __asan_memset (mm/kasan/shadow.c:84 (discriminator 2)) [ 138.425889][ C1] ife_tlv_meta_encode (net/ife/ife.c:168) [ 138.425893][ C1] ? ife_tlv_meta_encode (net/ife/ife.c:171) [ 138.425898][ C1] ? srso_alias_return_thunk (arch/x86/lib/retpoline.S:221) [ 138.425903][ C1] ife_encode_meta_u16 (net/sched/act_ife.c:57) [ 138.425910][ C1] ? __pfx_do_raw_spin_lock (kernel/locking/spinlock_debug.c:114) [ 138.425916][ C1] ? __asan_memcpy (mm/kasan/shadow.c:105 (discriminator 3)) [ 138.425921][ C1] ? __pfx_ife_encode_meta_u16 (net/sched/act_ife.c:45) [ 138.425927][ C1] ? srso_alias_return_thunk (arch/x86/lib/retpoline.S:221) [ 138.425931][ C1] tcf_ife_act (net/sched/act_ife.c:847 net/sched/act_ife.c:879) To solve this issue, fix the replace behavior by adding the metalist to the ife rcu data structure.
CVE-2026-23359 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix stack-out-of-bounds write in devmap get_upper_ifindexes() iterates over all upper devices and writes their indices into an array without checking bounds. Also the callers assume that the max number of upper devices is MAX_NEST_DEV and allocate excluded_devices[1+MAX_NEST_DEV] on the stack, but that assumption is not correct and the number of upper devices could be larger than MAX_NEST_DEV (e.g., many macvlans), causing a stack-out-of-bounds write. Add a max parameter to get_upper_ifindexes() to avoid the issue. When there are too many upper devices, return -EOVERFLOW and abort the redirect. To reproduce, create more than MAX_NEST_DEV(8) macvlans on a device with an XDP program attached using BPF_F_BROADCAST | BPF_F_EXCLUDE_INGRESS. Then send a packet to the device to trigger the XDP redirect path.
CVE-2026-23352 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/efi: defer freeing of boot services memory efi_free_boot_services() frees memory occupied by EFI_BOOT_SERVICES_CODE and EFI_BOOT_SERVICES_DATA using memblock_free_late(). There are two issue with that: memblock_free_late() should be used for memory allocated with memblock_alloc() while the memory reserved with memblock_reserve() should be freed with free_reserved_area(). More acutely, with CONFIG_DEFERRED_STRUCT_PAGE_INIT=y efi_free_boot_services() is called before deferred initialization of the memory map is complete. Benjamin Herrenschmidt reports that this causes a leak of ~140MB of RAM on EC2 t3a.nano instances which only have 512MB or RAM. If the freed memory resides in the areas that memory map for them is still uninitialized, they won't be actually freed because memblock_free_late() calls memblock_free_pages() and the latter skips uninitialized pages. Using free_reserved_area() at this point is also problematic because __free_page() accesses the buddy of the freed page and that again might end up in uninitialized part of the memory map. Delaying the entire efi_free_boot_services() could be problematic because in addition to freeing boot services memory it updates efi.memmap without any synchronization and that's undesirable late in boot when there is concurrency. More robust approach is to only defer freeing of the EFI boot services memory. Split efi_free_boot_services() in two. First efi_unmap_boot_services() collects ranges that should be freed into an array then efi_free_boot_services() later frees them after deferred init is complete.
CVE-2026-23343 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xdp: produce a warning when calculated tailroom is negative Many ethernet drivers report xdp Rx queue frag size as being the same as DMA write size. However, the only user of this field, namely bpf_xdp_frags_increase_tail(), clearly expects a truesize. Such difference leads to unspecific memory corruption issues under certain circumstances, e.g. in ixgbevf maximum DMA write size is 3 KB, so when running xskxceiver's XDP_ADJUST_TAIL_GROW_MULTI_BUFF, 6K packet fully uses all DMA-writable space in 2 buffers. This would be fine, if only rxq->frag_size was properly set to 4K, but value of 3K results in a negative tailroom, because there is a non-zero page offset. We are supposed to return -EINVAL and be done with it in such case, but due to tailroom being stored as an unsigned int, it is reported to be somewhere near UINT_MAX, resulting in a tail being grown, even if the requested offset is too much (it is around 2K in the abovementioned test). This later leads to all kinds of unspecific calltraces. CVE-2026-23292 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: Fix recursive locking in __configfs_open_file() In flush_write_buffer, &p->frag_sem is acquired and then the loaded store function is called, which, here, is target_core_item_dbroot_store(). This function called filp_open(), following which these functions were called (in reverse order), according to the call trace: down_read __configfs_open_file do_dentry_open vfs_open do_open path_openat do_filp_open file_open_name filp_open target_core_item_dbroot_store flush_write_buffer configfs_write_iter target_core_item_dbroot_store() tries to validate the new file path by trying to open the file path provided to it; however, in this case, the bug report shows: db_root: not a directory: /sys/kernel/config/target/dbroot indicating that the same configfs file was tried to be opened, on which it is currently working on. Thus, it is trying to acquire frag_sem semaphore of the same file of which it already holds the semaphore obtained in flush_write_buffer(), leading to acquiring the semaphore in a nested manner and a possibility of recursive locking. Fix this by modifying target_core_item_dbroot_store() to use kern_path() instead of filp_open() to avoid opening the file using filesystem-specific function __configfs_open_file(), and further modifying it to make this fix compatible.
CVE-2026-23054 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hv_netvsc: reject RSS hash key programming without RX indirection table RSS configuration requires a valid RX indirection table. When the device reports a single receive queue, rndis_filter_device_add() does not allocate an indirection table, accepting RSS hash key updates in this state leads to a hang. Fix this by gating netvsc_set_rxfh() on ndc->rx_table_sz and return -EOPNOTSUPP when the table is absent. This aligns set_rxfh with the device capabilities and prevents incorrect behavior.
CVE-2026-0310 1 Palo Alto Networks 4 Cloud Ngfw, Pan-os, Panorama and 1 more 2026-10-15 N/A
A buffer overflow vulnerability in the XML processing functionality of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS® software enables an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the management web or dataplane interface to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on VM-Series firewalls or execute arbitrary code with root privileges on the PA-Series firewalls. The security risk posed by this issue is minimized when the management interface is restricted to only trusted internal IP addresses according to our recommended best practice deployment guidelines https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/community-blogs/tips-amp-tricks-how-to-secure-the-management-access-of-your-palo/ba-p/464431 . Panorama is impacted by this vulnerability.
CVE-2026-0309 1 Palo Alto Networks 3 Cloud Ngfw, Pan-os, Prisma Access 2026-10-15 N/A
A command injection vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS® software enables an authenticated administrator to bypass system restrictions and run arbitrary commands as a root user. To be able to exploit this issue, the user must have access to the PAN-OS CLI and the device must be configured with a Luna Hardware Security Module (HSM). The security risk posed by this issue is significantly minimized when CLI access is restricted to a limited group of administrators. Panorama, Cloud NGFW, and Prisma® Access are not impacted by this vulnerability.
CVE-2026-0308 1 Palo Alto Networks 3 Cloud Ngfw, Pan-os, Prisma Access 2026-10-15 N/A
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS® software enables a malicious authenticated administrator to store or execute a JavaScript payload using the web interface. This issue is applicable to PAN-OS software on PA-Series and VM-Series firewalls and on Panorama (virtual and M-Series). Cloud NGFW and Prisma® Access are not affected by this vulnerability.
CVE-2025-43715 1 Nullsoft 1 Nullsoft Scriptable Install System 2026-10-15 8.1 High
Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS) before 3.11 on Windows allows local users to escalate privileges to SYSTEM during an installation, because the temporary plugins directory is created under %WINDIR%\temp and unprivileged users can place a crafted executable file by winning a race condition. This occurs because EW_CREATEDIR does not always set the CreateRestrictedDirectory error flag.
CVE-2025-40219 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI/IOV: Fix race between SR-IOV enable/disable and hotplug Commit 05703271c3cd ("PCI/IOV: Add PCI rescan-remove locking when enabling/disabling SR-IOV") tried to fix a race between the VF removal inside sriov_del_vfs() and concurrent hot unplug by taking the PCI rescan/remove lock in sriov_del_vfs(). Similarly the PCI rescan/remove lock was also taken in sriov_add_vfs() to protect addition of VFs. This approach however causes deadlock on trying to remove PFs with SR-IOV enabled because PFs disable SR-IOV during removal and this removal happens under the PCI rescan/remove lock. So the original fix had to be reverted. Instead of taking the PCI rescan/remove lock in sriov_add_vfs() and sriov_del_vfs(), fix the race that occurs with SR-IOV enable and disable vs hotplug higher up in the callchain by taking the lock in sriov_numvfs_store() before calling into the driver's sriov_configure() callback.
CVE-2025-26466 4 Canonical, Debian, Openbsd and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Openssh and 2 more 2026-10-15 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in the OpenSSH package. For each ping packet the SSH server receives, a pong packet is allocated in a memory buffer and stored in a queue of packages. It is only freed when the server/client key exchange has finished. A malicious client may keep sending such packages, leading to an uncontrolled increase in memory consumption on the server side. Consequently, the server may become unavailable, resulting in a denial of service attack.
CVE-2025-22056 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_tunnel: fix geneve_opt type confusion addition When handling multiple NFTA_TUNNEL_KEY_OPTS_GENEVE attributes, the parsing logic should place every geneve_opt structure one by one compactly. Hence, when deciding the next geneve_opt position, the pointer addition should be in units of char *. However, the current implementation erroneously does type conversion before the addition, which will lead to heap out-of-bounds write. CVE-2025-21919 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/fair: Fix potential memory corruption in child_cfs_rq_on_list child_cfs_rq_on_list attempts to convert a 'prev' pointer to a cfs_rq. This 'prev' pointer can originate from struct rq's leaf_cfs_rq_list, making the conversion invalid and potentially leading to memory corruption. Depending on the relative positions of leaf_cfs_rq_list and the task group (tg) pointer within the struct, this can cause a memory fault or access garbage data. The issue arises in list_add_leaf_cfs_rq, where both cfs_rq->leaf_cfs_rq_list and rq->leaf_cfs_rq_list are added to the same leaf list. Also, rq->tmp_alone_branch can be set to rq->leaf_cfs_rq_list. This adds a check `if (prev == &rq->leaf_cfs_rq_list)` after the main conditional in child_cfs_rq_on_list. This ensures that the container_of operation will convert a correct cfs_rq struct. This check is sufficient because only cfs_rqs on the same CPU are added to the list, so verifying the 'prev' pointer against the current rq's list head is enough. Fixes a potential memory corruption issue that due to current struct layout might not be manifesting as a crash but could lead to unpredictable behavior when the layout changes.
CVE-2025-21865 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gtp: Suppress list corruption splat in gtp_net_exit_batch_rtnl(). Brad Spengler reported the list_del() corruption splat in gtp_net_exit_batch_rtnl(). [0] Commit eb28fd76c0a0 ("gtp: Destroy device along with udp socket's netns dismantle.") added the for_each_netdev() loop in gtp_net_exit_batch_rtnl() to destroy devices in each netns as done in geneve and ip tunnels. However, this could trigger ->dellink() twice for the same device during ->exit_batch_rtnl(). Say we have two netns A & B and gtp device B that resides in netns B but whose UDP socket is in netns A. 1. cleanup_net() processes netns A and then B. 2. gtp_net_exit_batch_rtnl() finds the device B while iterating netns A's gn->gtp_dev_list and calls ->dellink(). [ device B is not yet unlinked from netns B as unregister_netdevice_many() has not been called. ] 3. gtp_net_exit_batch_rtnl() finds the device B while iterating netns B's for_each_netdev() and calls ->dellink(). gtp_dellink() cleans up the device's hash table, unlinks the dev from gn->gtp_dev_list, and calls unregister_netdevice_queue(). Basically, calling gtp_dellink() multiple times is fine unless CONFIG_DEBUG_LIST is enabled. Let's remove for_each_netdev() in gtp_net_exit_batch_rtnl() and delegate the destruction to default_device_exit_batch() as done in bareudp. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFC: nci: Add bounds checking in nci_hci_create_pipe() The "pipe" variable is a u8 which comes from the network. If it's more than 127, then it results in memory corruption in the caller, nci_hci_connect_gate().
CVE-2025-21724 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd/iova_bitmap: Fix shift-out-of-bounds in iova_bitmap_offset_to_index() Resolve a UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds issue in iova_bitmap_offset_to_index() where shifting the constant "1" (of type int) by bitmap->mapped.pgshift (an unsigned long value) could result in undefined behavior. The constant "1" defaults to a 32-bit "int", and when "pgshift" exceeds 31 (e.g., pgshift = 63) the shift operation overflows, as the result cannot be represented in a 32-bit type. To resolve this, the constant is updated to "1UL", promoting it to an unsigned long type to match the operand's type.
