CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
greybus: gb-beagleplay: fix sleep in atomic context in hdlc_tx_frames()
hdlc_append() calls usleep_range() to wait for circular buffer space,
but it is called with tx_producer_lock (a spinlock) held via
hdlc_tx_frames() -> hdlc_append_tx_frame()/hdlc_append_tx_u8()/etc.
Sleeping while holding a spinlock is illegal and can trigger
"BUG: scheduling while atomic".
Fix this by moving the buffer-space wait out of hdlc_append() and into
hdlc_tx_frames(), before the spinlock is acquired. The new flow:
1. Pre-calculate the worst-case encoded frame length.
2. Wait (with sleep) outside the lock until enough space is available,
kicking the TX consumer work to drain the buffer.
3. Acquire the spinlock, re-verify space, and write the entire frame
atomically.
This ensures that sleeping only happens without any lock held, and
that frames are either fully enqueued or not written at all.
This bug is found by CodeQL static analysis tool (interprocedural
sleep-in-atomic query) and my code review. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
hwmon: (powerz) Avoid cacheline sharing for DMA buffer
Depending on the architecture the transfer buffer may share a cacheline
with the following mutex. As the buffer may be used for DMA, that is
problematic.
Use the high-level DMA helpers to make sure that cacheline sharing can
not happen.
Also drop the comment, as the helpers are documentation enough.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI: endpoint: pci-epf-ntb: Remove duplicate resource teardown
epf_ntb_epc_destroy() duplicates the teardown that the caller is
supposed to do later. This leads to an oops when .allow_link fails or
when .drop_link is performed. Remove the helper.
Also drop pci_epc_put(). EPC device refcounting is tied to configfs EPC
group lifetime, and pci_epc_put() in the .drop_link path is sufficient. |
| Improper input validation in .NET allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: clean up the amdgpu_cs_parser_bos
In low memory conditions, kmalloc can fail. In such conditions
unlock the mutex for a clean exit.
We do not need to amdgpu_bo_list_put as it's been handled in the
amdgpu_cs_parser_fini. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: sch_qfq: do not free existing class in qfq_change_class()
Fixes qfq_change_class() error case.
cl->qdisc and cl should only be freed if a new class and qdisc
were allocated, or we risk various UAF. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/page_alloc: return NULL early from alloc_frozen_pages_nolock() in NMI on UP
On UP kernels (!CONFIG_SMP), spin_trylock() is a no-op that
unconditionally succeeds even when the lock is already held. As a
result, alloc_frozen_pages_nolock() called from NMI context can
re-enter rmqueue() and acquire the zone lock that the interrupted
context is already holding, corrupting the freelists.
With CONFIG_DEBUG_SPINLOCK on UP, the following BUG is triggered with
the slub_kunit test module:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: algif_aead - snapshot IV for async AEAD requests
AF_ALG AEAD AIO requests currently use the socket-wide IV buffer during
request processing. For async requests, later socket activity can
update that shared state before the original request has fully
completed, which can lead to inconsistent IV handling.
Snapshot the IV into per-request storage when preparing the AEAD
request, so in-flight operations no longer depend on mutable socket
state. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/slab: return NULL early from kmalloc_nolock() in NMI on UP
On UP kernels (!CONFIG_SMP), spin_trylock() is a no-op that
unconditionally succeeds even when the lock is already held. As a
result, kmalloc_nolock() called from NMI context can re-enter the slab
allocator and acquire n->list_lock that the interrupted context is
already holding, corrupting slab state.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext2: reject inodes with zero i_nlink and valid mode in ext2_iget()
ext2_iget() already rejects inodes with i_nlink == 0 when i_mode is
zero or i_dtime is set, treating them as deleted. However, the case of
i_nlink == 0 with a non-zero mode and zero dtime slips through. Since
ext2 has no orphan list, such a combination can only result from
filesystem corruption - a legitimate inode deletion always sets either
i_dtime or clears i_mode before freeing the inode.
A crafted image can exploit this gap to present such an inode to the
VFS, which then triggers WARN_ON inside drop_nlink() (fs/inode.c) via
ext2_unlink(), ext2_rename() and ext2_rmdir():

Extend the existing i_nlink == 0 check to also catch this case,
reporting the corruption via ext2_error() and returning -EFSCORRUPTED.
This rejects the inode at load time and prevents it from reaching any
of the namei.c paths.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rxrpc: Fix error handling in rxgk_extract_token()
Fix a missing bit of error handling in rxgk_extract_token(): in the event
that rxgk_decrypt_skb() returns -ENOMEM, it should just return that rather
than continuing on (for anything else, it generates an abort). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/memfd_luo: fix physical address conversion in put_folios cleanup
In memfd_luo_retrieve_folios()'s put_folios cleanup path:
1. kho_restore_folio() expects a phys_addr_t (physical address) but
receives a raw PFN (pfolio->pfn). This causes kho_restore_page() to
check the wrong physical address (pfn << PAGE_SHIFT instead of the
actual physical address).
2. This loop lacks the !pfolio->pfn check that exists in the main
retrieval loop and memfd_luo_discard_folios(), which could
incorrectly process sparse file holes where pfn=0.
Fix by converting PFN to physical address with PFN_PHYS() and adding
the !pfolio->pfn check, matching the pattern used elsewhere in this file.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: ctxfi: Add fallback to default RSR for S/PDIF
spdif_passthru_playback_get_resources() uses atc->pll_rate as the RSR
for the MSR calculation loop. However, pll_rate is only updated in
atc_pll_init() and not in hw_pll_init(), so it remains 0 after the
card init.
When spdif_passthru_playback_setup() skips atc_pll_init() for
32000 Hz, (rsr * desc.msr) always becomes 0, causing the loop to spin
indefinitely.
Add fallback to use atc->rsr when atc->pll_rate is 0. This reflects
the hardware state, since hw_card_init() already configures the PLL
to the default RSR. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: rds: fix MR cleanup on copy error
__rds_rdma_map() hands sg/pages ownership to the transport after
get_mr() succeeds. If copying the generated cookie back to user space
fails after that point, the error path must not free those resources
again before dropping the MR reference.
Remove the duplicate unpin/free from the put_user() failure branch so
that MR teardown is handled only through the existing final cleanup
path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
landlock: Fix LOG_SUBDOMAINS_OFF inheritance across fork()
hook_cred_transfer() only copies the Landlock security blob when the
source credential has a domain. This is inconsistent with
landlock_restrict_self() which can set LOG_SUBDOMAINS_OFF on a
credential without creating a domain (via the ruleset_fd=-1 path): the
field is committed but not preserved across fork() because the child's
prepare_creds() calls hook_cred_transfer() which skips the copy when
domain is NULL.
This breaks the documented use case where a process mutes subdomain logs
before forking sandboxed children: the children lose the muting and
their domains produce unexpected audit records.
Fix this by unconditionally copying the Landlock credential blob. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: nSVM: Sync interrupt shadow to cached vmcb12 after VMRUN of L2
After VMRUN in guest mode, nested_sync_control_from_vmcb02() syncs
fields written by the CPU from vmcb02 to the cached vmcb12. This is
because the cached vmcb12 is used as the authoritative copy of some of
the controls, and is the payload when saving/restoring nested state.
int_state is also written by the CPU, specifically bit 0 (i.e.
SVM_INTERRUPT_SHADOW_MASK) for nested VMs, but it is not sync'd to
cached vmcb12. This does not cause a problem if KVM_SET_NESTED_STATE
preceeds KVM_SET_VCPU_EVENTS in the restore path, as an interrupt shadow
would be correctly restored to vmcb02 (KVM_SET_VCPU_EVENTS overwrites
what KVM_SET_NESTED_STATE restored in int_state).
However, if KVM_SET_VCPU_EVENTS preceeds KVM_SET_NESTED_STATE, an
interrupt shadow would be restored into vmcb01 instead of vmcb02. This
would mostly be benign for L1 (delays an interrupt), but not for L2. For
L2, the vCPU could hang (e.g. if a wakeup interrupt is delivered before
a HLT that should have been in an interrupt shadow).
Sync int_state to the cached vmcb12 in nested_sync_control_from_vmcb02()
to avoid this problem. With that, KVM_SET_NESTED_STATE restores the
correct interrupt shadow state, and if KVM_SET_VCPU_EVENTS follows it
would overwrite it with the same value. |
| Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. In versions prior to 24.0.9, 36.0.10, and 44.0.2, when a filesystem preopen is given DirPerms::all() and FilePerms::READ without FilePerms::WRITE, this access control mechanism can be bypassed via the wasip2 descriptor.open-at or wasip1 path_open interfaces by opening a file with only the OpenFlags::TRUNCATE oflag. The root cause is that the clause handling OpenFlags::TRUNCATE in crates/wasi/src/filesystem.rs (Dir::open_at, lines 967–969) did not set open_mode |= OpenMode::WRITE;, which is later used for the access control check against FilePerms to determine whether opening the file is permitted; the single-line fix adds that missing assignment, after which the affected calls correctly fail with error-code.not-permitted and ERRNO_PERM respectively. Only wasmtime-wasi embeddings that combine DirPerms::MUTATE with FilePerms::READ are affected by this bug. In particular, the Wasmtime project's wasmtime-cli's use of wasmtime-wasi is not affected, because it always sets FilePerms::all() for all preopens. This issue has been fixed in versions 24.0.9, 36.0.10 and44.0.2. |
