CVSS v3.1 |
An issue in Roadcute API v.1 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via the application exposing a password reset API endpoint that fails to validate the identity of the requester properly
An authentication bypass vulnerability in the /web/um_open_telnet.cgi endpoint in Nexxt Solutions NCM-X1800 Mesh Router firmware UV1.2.7 and below, allowing an attacker to remotely enable the Telnet service without authentication, bypassing security controls. The Telnet server is then accessible with hard-coded credentials, allowing attackers to gain administrative shell access and execute arbitrary commands on the device.
Insufficient validation of the screen lock mechanism in Trust Wallet v8.45 allows physically proximate attackers to bypass the lock screen and view the wallet balance.
Insufficient protection against brute-force and runtime manipulation in the local authentication component in Two App Studio Journey 5.5.6 on iOS allows local attackers to bypass biometric and PIN-based access control via repeated PIN attempts or dynamic code injection.
NATS-Server is a High-Performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. In versions starting from 2.2.0 but prior to 2.10.27 and 2.11.1, the management of JetStream assets happens with messages in the $JS. subject namespace in the system account; this is partially exposed into regular accounts to allow account holders to manage their assets. Some of the JS API requests were missing access controls, allowing any user with JS management permissions in any account to perform certain administrative actions on any JS asset in any other account. At least one of the unprotected APIs allows for data destruction. None of the affected APIs allow disclosing stream contents. This vulnerability is fixed in v2.11.1 or v2.10.27.
Nitrokey 3 Firmware is the the firmware of Nitrokey 3 USB keys. For release 1.8.0, and test releases with PIV enabled prior to 1.8.0, the PIV application could accept invalid keys for authentication of the admin key. This could lead to compromise of the integrity of the data stored in the application. An attacker without access to the proper administration key would be able to generate new keys and overwrite certificates. Such an attacker would not be able to read-out or extract existing private data, nor would they be able to gain access to cryptographic operations that would normally require PIN-based authentication. The issue is fixed in piv-authenticator 0.3.9, and in Nitrokey's firmware 1.8.1.
PAM-PKCS#11 is a Linux-PAM login module that allows a X.509 certificate based user login. Prior to version 0.6.13, if cert_policy is set to none (the default value), then pam_pkcs11 will only check if the user is capable of logging into the token. An attacker may create a different token with the user's public data (e.g. the user's certificate) and a PIN known to the attacker. If no signature with the private key is required, then the attacker may now login as user with that created token. The default to *not* check the private key's signature has been changed with commit commi6638576892b59a99389043c90a1e7dd4d783b921, so that all versions starting with pam_pkcs11-0.6.0 should be affected. As a workaround, in `pam_pkcs11.conf`, set at least `cert_policy = signature;`.
An Authentication Bypass vulnerability on UniFi Protect Application with Auto-Adopt Bridge Devices enabled could allow a malicious actor with access to UniFi Protect Cameras adjacent network to take control of UniFi Protect Cameras.
Improper authentication in the firmware for the Intel(R) Slim Bootloader may allow a privileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
A weakness has been identified in joey-zhou xiaozhi-esp32-server-java up to 3.0.0. This impacts the function tryAuthenticateWithCookies of the file AuthenticationInterceptor.java of the component Cookie Handler. Executing manipulation can lead to improper authentication. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be exploited. Upgrading to version 4.0.0 will fix this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.
A vulnerability was found in Alteryx Server. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file /gallery/api/status/. Performing manipulation results in improper authentication. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. Upgrading to version 2023.1.1.13.486, 2023.2.1.10.293, 2024.1.1.9.236, 2024.2.1.6.125 and 2025.1.1.1.31 can resolve this issue. Upgrading the affected component is recommended.
A vulnerability in the application software of multiple Radiometer products may allow remote code execution and unauthorized device management when specific internal conditions are met. Exploitation requires that a remote connection is established with additional information obtained through other means. The issue is caused by a weakness in the analyzer’s application software. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP and ABAP Platform allows an authenticated attacker to obtain illegitimate access to the system by exploiting improper authentication checks, resulting in privilege escalation. On successful exploitation, this can result in potential security concerns. This results in a high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Improper Authentication vulnerability in OpenText OpenText Directory Services may allow Multi-factor Authentication Bypass in particular scenarios. This issue affects OpenText Directory Services: 24.2.
| CVE-2024-6078 IMPACT
An improper authentication vulnerability exists in the affected product, which could allow a malicious user to generate cookies for any user ID without the use of a username or password. If exploited, a malicious user could take over the account of a legitimate user. The malicious user would be able to view and modify data stored in the cloud. |
Cobbler, a Linux installation server that allows for rapid setup of network installation environments, has an improper authentication vulnerability starting in version 3.0.0 and prior to versions 3.2.3 and 3.3.7. `utils.get_shared_secret()` always returns `-1`, which allows anyone to connect to cobbler XML-RPC as user `''` password `-1` and make any changes. This gives anyone with network access to a cobbler server full control of the server. Versions 3.2.3 and 3.3.7 fix the issue.
An incorrect authentication vulnerability has been found in Socomec Net Vision affecting version 7.20. This vulnerability allows an attacker to perform a brute force attack on the application and recover a valid session, because the application uses a five-digit integer value.
Ory Kratos is an identity, user management and authentication system for cloud services. Prior to version 1.3.0, given a number of preconditions, the `highest_available` setting will incorrectly assume that the identity’s highest available AAL is `aal1` even though it really is `aal2`. This means that the `highest_available` configuration will act as if the user has only one factor set up, for that particular user. This means that they can call the settings and whoami endpoint without a `aal2` session, even though that should be disallowed. An attacker would need to steal or guess a valid login OTP of a user who has only OTP for login enabled and who has an incorrect `available_aal` value stored, to exploit this vulnerability. All other aspects of the session (e.g. the session’s aal) are not impacted by this issue. On the Ory Network, only 0.00066% of registered users were affected by this issue, and most of those users appeared to be test users. Their respective AAL values have since been updated and they are no longer vulnerable to this attack. Version 1.3.0 is not affected by this issue. As a workaround, those who require MFA should disable the passwordless code login method. If that is not possible, check the sessions `aal` to identify if the user has `aal1` or `aal2`.
