CVE-2026-98124 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb/client: invalidate fscache for fallocate range operations smb3_zero_range(), smb3_punch_hole(), smb3_insert_range(), and smb3_collapse_range() modify file contents through server-side range operations. These operations discard the affected page cache, but leave the FS-Cache cookie valid, so a later read may return data cached before the range operation. Fix this by invalidating FS-Cache after outstanding I/O has completed and before modifying the file on the server. Run the following as root on a CIFS mount with fsc enabled and an active CacheFiles backend: bash -c ' MNT=/mnt/cifs FILE="$MNT/repro" # Generate four 1 MiB random blocks: [A][B][C][D]. dd if=/dev/urandom of=/tmp/src bs=1M count=4 status=none # Expected contents after zeroing B: [A][zero][C][D]. cp /tmp/src /tmp/expected dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/expected bs=1M seek=1 count=1 \ conv=notrunc status=none cp /tmp/src "$FILE" # Populate FS-Cache, then discard the page cache. sync echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches cat "$FILE" > /dev/null sync echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches fallocate --zero-range -o 1M -l 1M "$FILE" if cmp -s /tmp/expected "$FILE"; then echo "readback: OK" else echo "readback: STALE DATA" fi ' Before this change, the readback differs from /tmp/expected: readback: STALE DATA After this change, it matches: readback: OK

As part of Cisco's ongoing commitment to proactive security and product quality, the Cisco owned Open Source Snort 3 Software engineering team has conducted a comprehensive internal security review. This review resulted in software hardening releases that address multiple internally discovered vulnerabilities. The vulnerabilities tracked by CVE-2026-20236 are related to issues concerning incorrect calculation that are grouped under the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Base CWE-682.
CVE-2026-114605 2026-10-22 7.5 High
dnspython is a DNS toolkit for Python. Prior to 2.9.0, dns.name.from_wire_parser follows attacker-controlled DNS compression pointer chains without a hop limit. A malicious DNS wire-format message can force excessive pointer traversal during name decompression, causing high CPU use, application degradation, or denial of service in applications that process untrusted DNS messages. This issue is fixed in version 2.9.0.
CVE-2026-98125 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb/client: fix stale page cache in insert/collapse range smb3_insert_range() and smb3_collapse_range() use truncate_pagecache_range() to invalidate the affected page cache. However, if off or old_eof is not page-aligned, the boundary pages are only partially zeroed and remain uptodate. As a result, the client may return stale data after a successful insert/collapse range operation. For example, with 4K pages: page 0 page 1 page 2 0------4K 4K------8K 8K------12K ^ ^ off=2K old_eof=10K Page 1 is removed from the page cache, while the boundary pages are only partially zeroed. After COPYCHUNK moves the data on the server, these cached pages may still return stale data. This can be reproduced on a CIFS mount: bash -c ' FILE=/mnt/scratch/repro # Use a 6 KiB file so EOF is not page-aligned. dd if=/dev/urandom of=/tmp/src bs=1K count=6 status=none # Expected: a 4 KiB hole followed by the original data. rm -f /tmp/expected truncate -s 4K /tmp/expected cat /tmp/src >> /tmp/expected cp /tmp/src "$FILE" # Prime the page cache before moving data on the server. cat "$FILE" > /dev/null fallocate --insert-range -o 0 -l 4K "$FILE" if cmp -s /tmp/expected "$FILE"; then echo "readback: OK" else echo "readback: STALE DATA" fi ' Fix this by writing back dirty data and discarding the page cache from the start of the page containing off to EOF before moving data on the server.
CVE-2026-114087 1 Triggerdotdev 1 Trigger.dev 2026-10-22 8.1 High
Trigger.dev before 4.5.6 self-hosted Docker Compose deployments using the default secrets from hosting/docker/.env.example allow authentication bypass because the hardcoded MAGIC_LINK_SECRET lets anyone forge valid magic link tokens. Unauthenticated attackers can log in as any email address, then reach Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse with default credentials from runner containers on infrastructure networks, compromising all tenant data.

CVE-2026-115325 2 Gravitl, Netmaker 2 Netmaker, Netmaker 2026-10-22 8.3 High
Netmaker through 1.7.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in the updateExtClient handler that allows network-scoped users to modify external clients on other networks. Attackers with external client permissions on one network can send PUT requests to /api/extclients/{network}/{clientid} to replace public keys, disable clients, and obtain WireGuard private keys.
CVE-2026-66282 1 Silicon Labs 1 Emberznet 2026-10-22 N/A
In EmberZNet 9.1.1 and earlier, a malformed Publish Billing Period command can result in a recursive function call that will never reach its end condition. These messages must come from a device that has already joined the network. Only devices supporting the Price Cluster are impacted.
CVE-2026-113727 1 Openchoreo 1 Openchoreo 2026-10-22 7.4 High
OpenChoreo is a developer platform for Kubernetes. From 1.0.0 until 1.0.6, 1.1.7, and 1.2.5, the PUT .../workflowruns/{runName} update route authorizes a request using the openchoreo.dev/project and openchoreo.dev/component labels in the submitted body while selecting the stored WorkflowRun by the URL path. An authenticated caller with workflowrun:update for one project or component in the same namespace can name another run in the path, submit ownership labels for a scope they control, and rewrite the victim run's ownership labels. Subsequent authorization then treats the attacker as authorized to read build logs and Kubernetes events, delete the run, modify pending spec.workflow.parameters, or place the run into a permanent ComponentValidationFailed state. The namespace comes from the URL, so the issue is cross-project or cross-component within one namespace and is not anonymously reachable or cross-tenant. This issue is fixed in 1.0.6, 1.1.7, and 1.2.5.
CVE-2026-115453 2026-10-22 N/A
Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key (CWE-639) in the cart and wishlist repositories of MarcosCamara01 Ecommerce Template allows any authenticated user to delete and modify the cart and wishlist rows of any other user, because cartRepository.delete(), cartRepository.updateQuantityInternal() and wishlistRepository.delete() in src/lib/db/drizzle/repositories/ match rows by primary key alone, with no predicate on the owning user, and the per user authorization for those three operations rests on PostgreSQL row level security. The migrations run ALTER TABLE ... ENABLE ROW LEVEL SECURITY and create policies comparing app.current_user_id() with user_id, but never ALTER TABLE ... FORCE ROW LEVEL SECURITY, and PostgreSQL does not apply policies to the role that owns a table. The template uses one DATABASE_URL both to run the migrations, which create the tables, and for the application at runtime, so the application connects as the owner of the tables and the policies do not apply to it. cart_items.id and wishlist.id are sequential bigserial values, so the identifiers of rows belonging to other users can be enumerated, and the update path returns the modified row, which carries the identifier of the user it belongs to. This results in the destruction and modification of cart and wishlist contents belonging to other accounts of the installation.
CVE-2026-63926 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: sockmap: fix tail fragment offset in bpf_msg_push_data When bpf_msg_push_data() inserts data in the middle of a scatterlist entry, it splits the original entry into a left fragment and a right fragment. The right fragment offset is page-local, but the code advances it with `start`, which is the message-global insertion point. For inserts into a non-first SG entry, this over-advances the offset and leaves the split layout inconsistent. Advance the right fragment offset by the fragment-local delta, `start - offset`, which matches the length removed from the front of the original entry.
CVE-2026-54425 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 N/A
Uncontrolled recursion in the HTTP/2 HPACK decoder in Apache bRPC before 1.18.0 allows remote attackers to cause denial of service by sending a crafted HTTP/2 header block containing many consecutive Dynamic Table Size Update entries. Each update was decoded by recursively invoking the HPACK decoder, which could exhaust the thread stack before a header field or end of input was reached. Root Cause: The bRPC HPACK decoder recursively decoded the next entry after processing a Dynamic Table Size Update. The decoder did not bound the recursion depth, so a long sequence of update entries could consume excessive stack space. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC with the built-in HTTP/2 implementation to accept HTTP/2 traffic from an untrusted network. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3343 Note: The fix changes HPACK Dynamic Table Size Update decoding to use iterative parsing instead of recursive parsing.
CVE-2026-54426 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 N/A
Uncontrolled recursion in the Redis reply parser in Apache bRPC < 1.18.0 allows a remote Redis server peer to crash a bRPC Redis client process by returning a deeply nested RESP array reply. The parser recursed once for each nested array level without enforcing a depth limit. The fix adds a configurable Redis reply depth limit with default value 128 and rejects replies exceeding that limit.  Affected Scenarios: Applications using bRPC as a Redis client with ChannelOptions.protocol="redis" and receiving replies from an untrusted or faulty Redis server peer. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade Apache bRPC to 1.18.0. 2. Apply the patch from PR https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3344 . Note: After applying the fix, Redis replies with array nesting deeper than redis_max_reply_depth are rejected.
CVE-2026-56388 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 N/A
The Redis server command parser in Apache bRPC accepts an empty RESP array as a command header. A remote unauthenticated attacker who can reach a bRPC server with Redis service enabled can send an empty array header followed by a bulk string, causing an out-of-bounds write in the parser and crashing the process. Root Cause: RedisCommandParser::ConsumeImpl rejected negative RESP array counts but accepted zero. It resized the command argument vector to zero elements and continued parsing. When a following bulk string was parsed, the only index guard was a CHECK. In configurations where fatal logs do not abort immediately, execution could continue and write to _args[0] even though the vector was empty. Affected Scenarios: Deployments that enable ServerOptions.redis_service and accept Redis protocol traffic from untrusted clients. The issue is reached during parsing before command handling or authentication. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3354 Note: The fix rejects empty RESP arrays as invalid Redis commands and replaces the internal index CHECK with an explicit parse error so malformed command streams cannot fall through to an indexed vector write.
CVE-2026-78048 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 N/A
A reachable-assertion flaw in the HPACK header-compression decoder of the HTTP/2 (h2/gRPC) stack in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a remote attacker to crash the server process by sending a crafted sequence of HPACK headers, resulting in a denial of service. Root Cause: In src/brpc/details/hpack.cpp, IndexTable::Init sizes the dynamic-table ring buffer as num_headers = max_size / (32 + 2), i.e. it assumes a minimum table entry of 34 bytes (name >= 1 byte + value >= 1 byte + 32 bytes of overhead). However, RFC 7541 section 4.1 specifies that the minimum entry size is 33 bytes, because the value may be empty (name >= 1 byte + value == 0 + 32 bytes). For the default 4096-byte table this allocates only 120 slots (4096/34). Eviction in AddHeader is driven by byte usage (_max_size), not by slot count, so a peer can add 121 minimal 33-byte entries (121*33 = 3993 <= 4096) without triggering eviction. The 121st AddHeader then hits CHECK(!_header_queue.full()), which aborts the process. Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server that serves HTTP/2 or gRPC requests (e.g. via the h2 protocol) from an untrusted network. The malicious header block is processed during HPACK decoding of incoming requests without authentication. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options)  1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3462 Note: The fix sizes the dynamic table for the 33-byte minimum entry (max_size / (32 + 1)) and ensures at least one ring-buffer slot is kept when max_size is smaller than the minimum entry, so that initialization cannot fail on malloc(0).
CVE-2026-82210 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 N/A
Enforceable assertion in the streaming feature of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a remote attacker to crash the server process by sending a malformed stream feedback frame. Root Cause: When handling FRAME_TYPE_FEEDBACK frames, bRPC calls Stream::SetRemoteConsumed() which contains CHECK(_cur_buf_size > 0) and unconditionally asserts CHECK(buf.IsEmpty()) on the frame payload. A feedback frame that carries an unexpected payload, or a feedback frame received on a stream where flow control is disabled (cur_buf_size == 0), reaches these assertions. On failure, CHECK failures abort the process, allowing an unauthenticated single client (once a stream is established) to terminate the server and cause a denial of service. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC server with the streaming control feature (Stream API) served from untrusted network. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3494 The fix rejects malformed feedback frames with EPROTO and closes only the affected stream instead of crashing the whole process, and it bounds buffer shrinking so cur_buf_size never drops to 0 while flow control is enabled.
CVE-2026-82230 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 7.5 High
Uncontrolled recursion in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server crash via sending deeply nested mcpack data. Root Cause: The bRPC mcpack2pb parser (used to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests) recursively parses nested objects and arrays without any depth limit. For a protobuf message that references itself (e.g. a repeated message field), the generated parser recurses once per nesting level of the incoming mcpack object. A deeply nested request makes the recursion grow unbounded, overflow the stack and crash the process. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC server with a recursive-schema protobuf message to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests from untrusted network. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3499 Note: No matter which option you choose, you should know that the fix enforces the documented parsing depth limit MAX_DEPTH (128) on the parse path, the same limit the serializer already applies. If your requests contain mcpack messages nested deeper than 128 levels, the request will be failed after applying the fix.
CVE-2026-82425 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 N/A
A reachable assertion in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a malicious remote peer to crash the process, resulting in denial of service. Root Cause: When a Socket with health checking enabled fails, Socket::WaitAndReset closes its file descriptor while the event dispatcher may still be delivering an input event (EPOLLIN/EVFILT_READ) that was fetched for the just-closed fd. If the health check then succeeds and revives the Socket, Socket::Address succeeds again while the fd is still -1 (the next write reconnects on demand). In that window, Socket::OnInputEvent hits CHECK(!(events & EPOLLIN)) (or the kqueue equivalent) because the Socket is addressable but has no fd. CHECK failures terminate the process when bRPC is built with glog or when the gflag -crash_on_fatal_log is enabled (CHECK always terminates in OFFICIAL_BUILD/NDEBUG builds as well). Affected Scenarios: Applications using bRPC clients with health check enabled (-health_check_interval). A malicious remote peer that the client connects to can deliberately abort connections and immediately accept the health check probes, racing connection teardown against health check revival to trigger the assertion and abort the process. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3510 Note: After applying the fix, stale input events on a Socket revived without an fd are silently dropped instead of triggering the assertion. No user-visible interface or wire protocol is changed.
CVE-2026-105933 1 Apache 1 Pulsar 2026-10-22 N/A
Apache Pulsar allows an administrator to require end-to-end message encryption for all topics in a namespace by setting the encryption_required namespace policy. When this policy is set, the broker rejects messages that are published without encryption. When the broker loads a persistent topic, it reads the namespace policies and the topic-level policies as part of topic initialization. If a step of this initialization fails, for example because of an error reading from the metadata store, a failure loading the topic-level policies or a failure in a later initialization step, the broker logs a warning, disables the encryption requirement for that topic, and completes the topic load as if it had succeeded. The topic is then served with encryption_required not enforced, even though the namespace policy requires it. Topic-level policies that could not be loaded are also not applied. While the encryption requirement is not enforced, an authenticated client with permission to produce to the affected topic can publish messages that are not encrypted, and the broker accepts and stores them. This applies both to producers created after the topic was loaded and to producers that were already connected. Messages published with encryption remain encrypted; the issue does not expose the content of encrypted messages or the encryption keys. The condition is not limited to transient failures. If the cause of the initialization failure persists, the encryption requirement is disabled again each time the topic is loaded, for example after a topic unload, a namespace bundle reassignment or a broker restart. An update to the namespace policies restores enforcement on a loaded topic, but only until the topic is loaded again. Enforcement is reliably restored only once the underlying cause of the failure has been resolved and the topic has been loaded again. The broker logs a warning when the encryption requirement is disabled, but the topic load is reported as successful and the state of the encryption requirement is not shown in the topic statistics. In fixed versions, a failure during topic initialization causes the topic load to fail so that it can be retried, instead of loading the topic with the encryption requirement disabled. This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 1.22.0-incubating before 4.0.14 and from 4.1.0 before 4.2.5. - 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14. - 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5. Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions. The currently supported Apache Pulsar release lines are 4.0.x and 5.0.x. The supported versions schedule is available at https://pulsar.apache.org/contribute/release-policy/. Users who rely on encryption_required and cannot upgrade immediately can monitor the broker logs for warnings containing "isEncryptionRequired will be set to false" (the exact wording of the message differs between releases), resolve the underlying cause of the failure, and then reload the affected topic and confirm that the warning does not recur.
